so stoked for our friends who are expecting baby number two!
its always fun to spend time with them + watch how they raise and
spend time with their little Lola. She travels with them, plays with them and
is living the Steamboat dream with one of the raddest couple I know.
It was so fun to meet up with my buddy Christine and her family this morning. we have a great time taking pictures at Spring Creek trail. Christine's brother and his wife just found out that they are E X P E C T I N G so we were able to do a few fun announcement photos for them and than we spent the rest of the time strolling through park and capturing time together!
this fun loving couple were so fun to spend time with
we ventured out on a gloomy Sunday afternoon + hiked up the trail behind Cierra folks house.
we posted up in a snowy field and I watched these two light up each time they looked at each other + the got cozy on their Big Agnes coats and tossed some snow + did some piggy back rides and had a grand ole time.
it was a month like any other month
there is a point during our winter in the Rockys that us mountain babes start getting the need to escape.
this weekend was our time to take to the open road
we had t-shirts made to remember our journey
we went out in the town of Jackson, mingled with the locals - danced to an amazing local band -who played covers of LCD Soundsystem, Genuine and Frank Ocean and more - spotted a moose - hot tubbed - almost ordered 24 slices of pizza - and explored a new ski resort that we will never forget!
SKI MEMORIES
- the trame to Everest
- Hayley noodling off the chairlift
- the ocean & wind slaps to the face
- all the steep slopes + more
T R A V E L S T A T S:
2 cars - 8 women 7 snowboards - 389.87 miles travelled one way - 12 hours of car talk giggles , singing and sightseeing
Bryan and Adrianna are such a sweet couple, and I was lucky to capture their wedding day a few weeks back + than we did a mini after the wedding photo session
Bryan scouted out his favorite location, that was special and beautiful.

mastering this art form : which is a unique effect of an expensive tilt-shift lens, where the focus plane is thrown out of whack
this is eleana. she just moved to steamboat springs - and is radiant sophomore at the local high school. she is made of giggles and sunshine ( truly) and is so fun to photograph + she rocked her Hawaiian performance in steamboat dance theatre.
Mud Season definition : the season that follows the winter ski season, the resort is closed and the town slows down - locals head to the lower ground - seeking sun sand and relaxation. This mud season we loaded up the car and went to Crestone Colorado- thanks to my boyfriend for booking an amazing airbnb and showing me a good time.
Well if this isn't the cutest lil bunch you ever did see, am I right? Gosh, this family of 6 was a hoot + holler to hang out with it and I am glad we were able to sneak in a photoshoot in between the rainstorms that we have been bombarded with. These family was the feature family in a local newsletter, representing the month of July.
I love photographing families, especially this fiesty five pack. The Dad works in the music industry, bringing amazing bands to our little mountain town for the Free Summer Concert series - the Momma, dances with me and is an amazing wedding coordinator. And that dog, what a stud right. As you scroll further you will see sisterhood at its purest, young, talented and a fun twosome - I couldn't stop taking photos of these young ladies.
Can it get any cuter than this people?! Shannon came up with this superhero photo session to celebrate her sons 3rd birthday. He loves Superman and Batman, and we spend the evening running around in costume and eating tons of marshmallows.
I love shoots like this.
In case you were wondering you can and should look into shutting down your neighborhood street and host a rock star block party. The Old Town Block Party on Merritt Street was flooded with kids from age 2-17 and parents having a good old fashion bbq. There was tons food, a pig roast and toys for young and old. It was such fun idea, and great way for neighbors to hang out and kids to be kids!
